Goodbye, Summer
It’s been a good one! While I realize that summer doesn’t officially conclude until the 23rd, Labor Day has always felt like the end of the season to me. I truly enjoyed this summer! I didn’t quite cross everything off my summer to-do list, but I’m really happy with what I accomplished. The biggest and best thing I did for me was start sailing again. I used to sail growing up, and I sailed a little in college (yes, my landlocked college had a sailing team 😂), and then sailed post-college with friends, but I haven’t sailed regularly for the past six or so years. I joined ladies’ sailing at our club this summer, at the prompting of a friend, and it’s been absolutely incredible to get back on the water, re-learn how to sail, and make friends with so many amazing women! I’m truly having the best time and I wish I’d joined years ago.
So, not much to say here, really. I’m grateful for this easy summer season. I’m grateful to have started doing something I loved once again. I’m grateful to be starting the school year with these beautiful memories. If you needed a sign to start something you loved once again–do it! It will be worth it. Now, my goals for next summer include a trip like this… we’ll see!
Enjoy the autumn 🙂
