How Do You Pack for a Trip?
I’m a minimalist when it comes to packing. I prefer to pack one carry-on bag and one personal item—that’s it. Oh, and I don’t use a rolling suitcase. That seemed to horrify many of you when I shared it on Instagram—but what can I say? I prefer to lug my bag if at all possible. It’s called luggage, after all! Pictured in this post is my go-to duffel bag, a vintage one from Colefax & Fowler. It’s traveled the globe–literally–and you could not tell it’s forty years old!
That being said, I’m at the point in my life where a rolling suitcase makes more sense. I polled you on Instagram and here’s what some of you said…
Away! Perfect price point, great warranty and so far as held up really nicely. Get the carry on+!
Own Away, wish I owned Paravel
Paravel and Globe-Trotter!
Brics! Received as a gift. Lifetime luggage!
What?! Your suitcases don’t have wheels? Paravel and Away
I’ll let you know which one I pick! Thank you all so much for sharing your thoughts. If you have any other recommendations, please share in the comment section below.
Steamline. Like Globetrotter.
Thanks Randy!!
I love chatting luggage! I’ll throw in another vote for Away, but I’m also starting to travel with a new-to-me suitcase from Solgaard with a built-in closet system. So far, I’m impressed!
I just saw something about Solgaard and I’m definitely intrigued!! Thank you for the reminder!!
